Merkelbach Manufaktur, better known as Reinhold Merkelbach in Höhr-Grenzhausen was founded in 1843 and officially registered in 1845 by Wilhelm Merkelbach (1817-1859). His ancestors had been potters since circa 1600 in the Westerwald and is still in business today. These cups are impressed marked on #492, dated after 1936 when Grenzhausen combined with Höhr to form Höhr Grenzhausen, and into the 1960's. Beautiful strong color blue against light gray 4.5 inches high and 3 inches for the opening. Total of 3 cups. Each cup weighs 10oz, total 30oz or 3 pounds. Ships to US addresses only.
